New Light Art Prizewinner, Summer Exhibition of the North, 2025

I am thrilled to have been chosen as the winner of the New Light Art Summer Exhibition of the North by esteemed art critic and writer Laura Gascoigne. To be selected by someone I hold in the utmost respect has transformed my self-doubt into renewed conviction in my personal need to follow my passion for painting.

The New Light Summer Exhibition of the North runs from 8th July to 10th August 2025 at The 1912 Mill at Sunnybank Mills, 83–85 Town St, Farsley, Pudsey LS28 5UJ. It is especially exciting to exhibit in Yorkshire this year, as the region takes centre stage in the art world with Bradford celebrating its status as City of Culture and hosting the Turner Prize.

New Light Art is an organisation that champions Northern art, supporting both established and emerging artists through some of the region’s most prestigious awards and opportunities via its biennial New Light Prize Exhibition. The organisation relies entirely on donations and sponsorship for funding.
