About 

Susan Liggett is a painter. Born in 1966, she trained at the Royal Academy and now works from her studio in Chester. For 22 years she had an academic career at Wrexham University, teaching fine art, supervising PhD students, curating exhibitions and writing book chapters and papers on the interface between art and science. During this time, she never neglected being an artist, and now she paints full time and continues to write autobiographically to support her painting practice .

She has exhibited nationally and internationally over the years and her paintings are included in private collections worldwide and she is recognised through prestigious juried exhibitions including Lyn Painter Stainer Prize (2014) NEAC Open (2016), Royal Academy Summer Exhibition (1994-97). She was elected a member of the Royal Cambrian Academy in 2018 and is an Associate Member of SUITE Studio Group Manchester.
