Carbon Meets Silicon 2017

I curated Carbon Meets Silicon 2017 with Mike Corcoran on the theme art and science collaborations and selected 17 artists from a highly competitive Open call. The show featured live performances, lectures and workshops exploring the relationship between art and science.

The exhibition asked questions such as: How is science changing the arts? What can artists and scientists achieve together which they cannot achieve alone? Where does science end and art begin?

Leading minds from around the world contributed to the debate, including Professor David Dobson, Scientist in Residence at the Slade School of Art; the internationally renowned artists Marlena Novack and Jay Alan Yim; and a key note lecture from Professor Andy Miah, Chair in Science Communication & Future Media at the University of Salford.
